Sales Manager FX
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid – office and client visits 2–3 times per week)

Role Overview
The Sales Manager will take full ownership of business development and revenue generation, with a strong focus on acquiring and managing high-value clients. This role requires a commercially astute professional who can close complex deals, build long-term client partnerships, and contribute to the development of a scalable, high-performing sales function.
The successful candidate will work closely with treasury, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of client transactions and an exceptional customer experience. This is a senior, high-impact role suited to a self-driven professional with a proven track record in enterprise or financial services sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development
- Identify, engage, and close high-value opportunities with corporates, HNIs, and institutional clients.
- Develop partnerships and strategic alliances to expand market reach and deal flow.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and key networking forums.
- Revenue Growth & Performance Management
- Own and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Design and execute sales strategies to optimize pipeline conversion and deal size.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market insights to senior leadership.
- Client Relationship Leadership
- Act as the escalation point for key accounts, ensuring premium service delivery.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate client needs into improved offerings.
- Monitor market trends and proactively propose relevant solutions to clients.
- Team Leadership & Development (Where Applicable)
- Mentor and coach Sales Executives to improve performance and target attainment.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new sales team members.
- Promote a performance-driven culture built on accountability, learning, and results.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, enterprise sales, or relationship management.
- At least 2 years’ experience managing senior-level clients, corporates, or HNIs.
- Proven ability to close high-value, complex deals and consistently exceed sales targets.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading sales professionals (formal or informal).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Established network within Nigeria’s financial services and B2B ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, make data-driven decisions, and deliver measurable outcomes.
